These past few months have not been the easiest for everyone. With the global pandemic a lot of us are easily stressed out and it can lead to poor mental health and you don't even realize it. There are many different ways to remain mindful and actively practice mindfulness in your everyday life. Hopefully, these practices help you de-stress and have a great school year!

Mindfulness is the awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Some benefits of practicing mindfulness include lowering stress, reduces anxiety, restores your emotional balance, slows aging, strengthens your mental health and so much more.

1. Meditation Apps

There are a ton of new apps in the AppStore that make meditating daily easy. Some good apps for meditation include Smiling Mind, Calm, Headspace, Aura, 10% Happier, and Inscape. Some of these apps include free trails and also student discounts so be sure to check them out!

2. Taking time out of your day to sit still and breathe

3. Take a walk and observe your senses and emotions

4. Do one of your favorite hobbies and completely disconnect

These four simple things are sure to boost your mood as well as decrease anxiety and stress. As exam season begins it can be really easy to put mindfulness on the back burner but it is so important. We hope these apps and tips help you out this school year:)
