Last week the Florida Students for Functional Medicine club hosted its last general body meeting and was joined by Theresa Rizzo, A.P., Dipl, O.M. . After studying Mayan medicine and collecting native plants for AIDS and Cancer research for the NY Botanical Gardens, she now owns a clinic in Gainesville, FL where she specializes in acupuncture Chinese Herbology.

Her website with more information, services, and contact information can found at:

Additionally, members of our executive team were able to participate in a community service opportunity that benefited the local Gainesville schools. We are so lucky that even in uncertain times to give back to our community and promote our philosophies of nutrition by helping to provide young students with the vegetables and fruits that nourish school lunches. More information about the Gainesville Farm to School Hub can be found at: farm2schoolalachua.com

We look forward to the next semester and hope that 2021 brings our community and club members good health and relaxation. Please continue to follow us on social medias and our blog as we will continue our weekly posts! And don't forget to share with any friends or family.

Best,

Anna and Lexie
